Dynetics based in Huntsville, Alabama has joined a diverse and highly skilled team developing unique solutions to complex problems related to directed energy systems.
I’m looking for Work as part of inter-company and inter-organizational development teams.
Deriving detailed system requirements from high-level customer requirements.
Gather and develop requirements for optical components to be integrated into complex systems.
Develop the effects of heat and thermal modeling stress on optical components and systems.
Preparation and presentation of instructions and/or demonstrations to customers, management and analysis of components and assembly systems of optical components, specification and characterization of optical coatings
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics from an ABET accredited university, or equivalent.
At least 8 years of direct experience in the development and analysis of optical components and systems.
Experience in developing, operating, and testing directed energy systems or similar systems is required.
Demonstrated experience working with multifunctional teams in system implementation, from requirements definition to design to implementation, is required.
At the same time, you need to ensure that the project schedule and budget are adhered to.
Experience in creating, modifying, and using test plans during the development, qualification, and approval stages of optical systems is required.
Must live in the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the North Alabama Huntsville area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
Experience selecting and integrating optoelectronic devices such as lasers, photodiodes, beam profilers, spectrometers, etc.
Experience with optical component and system design Experience with Zemax, Code V, etc.
Experience with Matlab or Python Experience with 3D CAD SolidWorks or similar Experience GDT&E – Experience Security
Requirements:
Candidates must be U.S.
citizens and have (and be able to maintain) final security clearance.
Salary Range:
Salary Range $101,400. – $183,300.
