WELDERS JOBS IN AUSTRALIA 2023-24 The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-level engineering and manufacturing services across the council’s assets, including water and wastewater infrastructure, while meeting the council’s delivery and operational plans.
Key Responsibilities: Perform operational activities and ensure effective high quality service with minimal oversight.
Providing best practice for the maintenance, repair, welding and manufacturing of Council assets.
Diagnose problems with Council facilities and equipment, investigate the cause, make repairs, and contact experts as necessary.
Communicate effectively with operators to advise and explain designs, correct maintenance procedures and techniques.
Communicate effectively with management on a daily basis, providing updates on progress on current tasks, problems encountered, resource requirements (equipment, labor, materials, parts, etc.

Administrative tasks

Assist in the smooth running of the Workshop by ensuring that administrative tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, including the proper use of the Council’s computer software and systems.
Compliance with Quality Systems, WHS Responsibilities and Regulations, Chain of Responsibility Act (COR), HVNL Regulations and relevant Council policies, procedures and practices.
Support in the supervision of trainees and trainees performing work activities during training or school internships. administrative tasks
