About the Role – Orchard Worker As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards, including but not limited to: Operating farm equipment and performing daily tasks.
DRIVING AND MAINTENANCE
Driving a tractor to perform routine maintenance tasks, orchard care and cleaning tasks Repairing sprinkler systems and broken pipe connections using hand tools Repairing canopies and supports using hand and power tools Repair Clean, maintain, and repair buildings, gardens, and fences Build trellises for climbing vegetables Help irrigate land for growing plants Qualification Experience and Required Characteristics Qualifications and Reserves No knowledge required.
High standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
Ability to work in a high-paced, high-volume environment.
Able to multitask, be on time, organized, and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Practical skills for maintenance and repair work.
Tractor and agricultural vehicle driving skills.
Ability to work outdoors and under all weather conditions.
Pay and Benefits Permanent full-time employment.
Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week.
Hourly rates vary between NZD 28/hour and NZD 31/hour.
